Park Tool PolyLube 1000 Grease
Reliable general-purpose bike grease for everything from bottom brackets to bolts.
Why I Use It
Park Tool PolyLube 1000 is my go-to for general-purpose bike assembly and maintenance. It’s perfect for threads, bearing surfaces, seatposts, axles, and anything else that needs grease—but doesn’t require anything exotic.
Nothing fancy, but it’s consistent, affordable, and trusted across the bike world. I always keep a tube in the toolbox.
Pro Tips
- Don’t use on freehubs. It’s too thick—stick to dedicated lightweight oils or greases there.
- Great for anti-seize. Use it on pedal threads, crank bolts, and seatpost clamps to prevent corrosion and creaking.
- Use semi-sparingly. A little goes a long way, especially around moving parts.
