Why I like it

The Lezyne Multi Chain Pliers is the ultimate trailside insurance policy. It lives full-time in my SWAT bag and covers way more than just chain fixes: it breaks chains, installs and removes quick links, straightens rotors, pulls valve cores, and even opens bottles 🍾. In My Setup

I keep it in my SWAT bag year-round with two spare quick links ↗️ snapped into the built-in holders.
I’ve used it more often for maintenance and valve core issues than actual trailside chain breaks — but I trust it fully for emergency drivetrain repairs.
Also handy for tweaking rotors post-travel or after minor bumps.
Works great even with cold hands or gloves, though I’ll sometimes wrap it in a microfiber towel ↗️ when gripping hard to avoid pressure points.

If you’re breaking or installing a quick link, it can dig into your palms. A microfiber ↗️ wrap makes that more comfortable.

Buyer’s Tips

Carry two sets of quick links ↗️ : one for yourself, one to be a hero on the trail for someone else.
If your SWAT compartment is roomy, consider wrapping it in a small cloth to avoid rattle.
