When I saw it sitting at the top of Virginia Tech’s helmet safety ratings, that was enough to convince me. Bonus points for being Keegan Swenson’s helmet of choice. I’ve used it for everything — it’s especially clutch in the heat.

• Comfort is top-tier. It’s light, stays in place, and doesn’t get in the way or overheat. I basically forget it’s there.
• Adjustment is easy with the single rear crank. The MIPS Spherical system adds safety without bulk.
• Sunglass compatibility is perfect — my Smith Pursuit shades fit cleanly under it with zero interference.
• Longevity? It’s held up great. I’ve ridden the hell out of mine and it’s still going strong, but I’m due for a fresh one now.

Who It’s For

Race-focused riders looking for a helmet that disappears on your head while still offering best-in-class protection. Trail riders may want something with a visor, but for XC and marathon racing, this is as good as it gets.
