Why I Like It

The WTB TCS Rocket Plug Kit is my backup tubeless repair tool tucked into my SWAT bag, especially for gnarly courses like Moab Rocks. It gives you multiple plug sizes and is a reliable backup when my primary Dynaplug runs dry.

While it’s a little less slick and quick than a Dynaplug Racer Pro, it’s still an incredibly useful kit to have on hand. The tips are reusable, the plugs are solid, and it can save your day when you’re miles from the finish.

In My Setup

Backup to my Dynaplug Racer Pro for gnarly courses with high flat potential.
Stashed in my Specialized SWAT bag alongside CO₂ and multi-tool.
Great for when you need to plug multiple holes or a really large puncture mid-race.

Why It Works

Different tip sizes allow you to load small or large plugs depending on the hole. The large tips allow you to insert multiple plugs at once.
Pre-loadable tips are key for fast repairs.
Standard bacon strips are easy to find and refill.

Notes

Storage Tip: Loading strips in the tips can be tricky to manage mid-race — I recommend prepping your plugs carefully beforehand and storing them securely.
Durability: No failures so far. Works exactly like a bacon strip repair should.
Backup Plan: Even if you carry a Dynaplug, having the TCS Rocket in your bag adds extra peace of mind.
