Dumonde Tech Freehub Oil
Low-viscosity lubricant for keeping freehubs in optimal condition.

Video Walkthrough
Here’s a short video of me servicing a hub using this exact product — same process for both the oil and the grease:
Why I Use It
I use Dumonde Tech Freehub Oil on both my Industry Nine Hydra and 1:1 hubs — always paired with the Pro-X Freehub Grease. Industry Nine recommends this combo, and I’ve found it’s the sweet spot between smooth performance and a quieter ride. I apply both every ~1000 miles during hub service.
Using just the oil makes the hub louder, which isn’t my thing. I prefer a dampened, quieter feel — and grease + oil gives me that.
What It Actually Does
- Reduces friction between pawls and the freehub body
- Helps form a seal between the freehub and driveside hub body
- Keeps your internals running smooth, especially under heavy load
Pro Tips
- A little goes a long way — don’t overdo it.
- Even if you’re new to hub service, this stuff is beginner-friendly.
- Works great if you’re following manufacturer service intervals. Always check your hub’s specific recs if you’re not running I9s.
Who Should Use It?
If you’re racing or just want your drivetrain to feel dialed, this is a solid pick. I recommend doing the service a few rides before your A-race — it gives everything time to settle and distribute, so your hubs are buttery smooth come race day.
